Mayor Wu Tonghuai (WEST COVINA)

3. Rewards

1) First prize: USD 500; Second prize: USD 300; Third prize: USD 100; Excellence prize: no bonus;

 2) All winners will be awarded certificates by the US-China Artists Association;

3) Excellent judges, participating individuals, participating schools or groups, etc., will be awarded certificates by the US-China Artists Association;

4) Excellent entries will be published in mainstream American and Chinese literary publications;

4. Schedule time 

1) Please submit the participating school information (according to the participating school information form (Form 1)) before February 28, 2021. After sending the form, the organizer will send the competition number to the participating schools before March 5. Participating schools should not submit the competition works before they get the competition number

2) From January 30, 2021 to March 15, 2021 school preliminary review; the school will submit the preliminary review manuscript with preliminary review comments (Form 2) to the competition organizing committee.

3) March 16, 2021-April 15, 2021 Jury re-examination: The jury will select first, second and third prizes and alternative manuscripts for the Excellence Award from all manuscripts that have passed the preliminary review.

4) From April 16, 2021 to May 15, 2021, the final review by the judges: the judges will determine the award by scoring separately and discussing together;

5) Announcement of the results and awards ceremony on June 1, 2021


4. Competition Schedule

1) Please submit the list of participating schools (according to the Participating School Information Form (Form 1)) before 2/28/2021. After submitting the organizer will send the competition number to participating schools before March 5th. Participating schools m ust not submit their entries before they have received the competition number

2)  1/30/2021-3/15/2021 School preliminary review; The school will submit the preliminary review manuscript with preliminary review comments to the competition organizing committee (Form 2).

3) 3/16/2021-4/15/2021 review by the judges: The jury will select the first, second, third prizes, and the outstanding candidates for all the manuscripts that have passed the preliminary review.

4) 4/16/2021-5/15/2021 final review by the judges: the jury decides the attribution of the awards through separate scoring and unified discussion.

6. How to participate

The above list and report are necessary conditions for participating in the organization award.

4) Each school can push up to 3 entries, and each student can provide a maximum of 1 entry;


6. Participate method

3) Participating schools and teachers are invited to assist students to complete independently and express their aspirations in their language. Teachers can guide them, but it is not recommended to change the manuscript.

4) The sponsor has the right to publish and publicize the information of participating units, participating individuals and entries;

5) Contest manuscripts will not be returned, please keep the manuscript;

6) Participating language: Chinese or English
